Privacy policy

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version: our apps collect only the information they need to do their job. We don't sell your information, we don't share it with data brokers, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles. If you have a question, email support@spiritedcode.com.

This privacy policy explains how Spirited Code, LLC (“Spirited Code,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our mobile apps, virtual reality games, desktop software, and this website (together, the “Services”).

Information we collect

Information you give us

Some features only work with information you give them, such as names you type, notes, settings, or items you add. Unless a feature clearly says otherwise, this information is stored on your device and is not sent to us.

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply and to help you.

Device permissions

Some apps may ask for access to features of your device, such as the camera, photo library, microphone, or location. We ask only when a feature needs that access, and we use it only for that feature. For example, an app that scans a document uses the camera to capture the image you asked it to capture. Unless the app clearly says otherwise, that processing happens on your device. You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device's settings.

Information collected automatically

Our apps do not include third-party advertising or tracking software, and we do not collect advertising identifiers.

The app stores (Apple's App Store, Google Play, and the Meta Horizon Store) may give developers aggregated statistics such as download counts and anonymous crash reports, depending on the sharing choices in your device settings. We use this information only to find and fix problems and to understand, in general terms, how our apps are used.

If an app offers an optional online feature, such as syncing, backup, or multiplayer, the app will explain what information that feature sends and why before you use it.

How we use information

We use information only to:

  • provide the features you choose to use;
  • respond to your questions and support requests;
  • keep the Services secure, fix bugs, and improve them; and
  • meet our legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers who help us run a feature you use (for example, a hosting provider for an online feature). They may use the information only to provide that service to us.
  • App stores and payment processors. Purchases are handled by the store you buy from, under that store's own privacy policy. We don't receive your payment card details.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or Spirited Code.
  • Business transfers. If Spirited Code is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data retention

Information stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you and to keep a reasonable record of our correspondence. Information held for an online feature is kept while you use that feature and deleted within a reasonable time after you ask us to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to collect as little of it as possible in the first place.

Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • access or delete information we hold about you by emailing support@spiritedcode.com;
  • remove information stored on your device by deleting it in the app or uninstalling the app; and
  • change device permissions at any time in your device's settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to know what information we hold, to correct it, to delete it, and to object to certain uses. We will honor these requests as required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for making one.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Its fonts and files are served from our own server, so visiting it doesn't send your information to third parties. Like most web servers, ours may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

International users

We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, give notice in the affected apps or on this website.
