Code, brought to life.

Spirited Code is an independent software studio. We build VR games, mobile apps that make everyday life a little easier, and custom software for people who care how it's made.

What we build

Three kinds of work, one standard: software that earns its place on your device.

Virtual reality games

Worlds you can step into. We design and build VR experiences in Unity that are comfortable, playful, and worth coming back to.

Apps for everyday life

Small, focused mobile apps for the moments that keep coming up: the chore you repeat every week, the question you keep looking up. Fast, simple, and respectful of your time and your data.

Software for clients

Need something built right? We take on client projects in C# and .NET: desktop, mobile, web, and the services behind them, from the first sketch to the shipped release.

There's something almost spiritual about bringing code to life.

A program starts as an idea and, with enough care, becomes something that quietly makes someone's day better. We believe everyone deserves tools like that: tools that make life easier, better, and more fun, without selling them out along the way.

  • Useful first

Every app does its job well, and nothing it doesn't need to do.

  • Private by design

Our apps collect only what they need to work. We don't sell your data, and we never will.

  • Made for everyone

Clear, accessible, and fairly priced, so the people who need it can use it.

  • Curious by nature

We prototype, play, and ask "what if?" That's where the good ideas come from.

Work with us

Spirited Code is led by Eric R., a software architect who started writing code on a TRS-80 and has been building software professionally for more than 25 years.

You get senior engineering without agency overhead: someone who listens to the problem, asks good questions, and builds a solution that's still easy to maintain years from now.

For a feel of how we think and work, read Eric's engineering blog at ericr.org.

How we can help

Custom applications
Desktop, mobile, and web apps in C# and .NET, including cross-platform apps with Avalonia.
VR and games
Unity development for Meta Quest and PC VR, from prototype to polished release.
Architecture and review
System design, code reviews, and practical plans for modernizing older software.
Infrastructure and automation
Linux and Windows servers, virtualization, backups, and the tooling that ties them together.
